Student Services Faculty

STUDENT SERVICES FACULTY

The Student Services faculty provides programs and resources designed to meet the needs of students and support them in their secondary studies and further tertiary pathways. The Student Services faculty is comprised of:

· Learning and Support: Ms J Lisson, Ms R Turan and Ms C Pham

Learning and Support is delivered both in the Library and during timetabled lessons as in class support.

Learning Support staff are located in the Library.

· Inclusive Learning Support: Ms D Pappas (SLSO)

Students requiring additional support to accommodate for physical disabilities impacting on learning and engaging with the wider school community are supported by differentiated Teaching and Learning programs as well as specialist support staff.

· Library: Mr E Richards (Librarian), Ms D Saveski and Ms H Zafirovska.

The Library and associated learning spaces are user friendly and well-resourced to facilitate reading for pleasure amongst all students as well as providing effective learning spaces for senior students with timetabled study periods.

Careers and Pathways: Ms A Lim (Careers Adviser) and Mr N Moore (Pathways Co-ordinator).

Career planning and developing work ready skills are important facets of a well-rounded education. The Careers and Pathways programs supports students to develop their skills and abilities to succeed beyond their time at Sefton High School.

Ms A Lim is located in the office near the bag area of the Library and Mr Moore is located in the office at the parent foyer side of the Front Office.

Head Teacher Secondary Studies is Mr B Atton

Mr B Atton manages the Student Services Faculty and co-ordinates whole school programs to support the academic, social and emotional wellbeing of students. He is located in the Library.
